Sri Aurobindo Meditation Progress Towards Better

Sri Aurobindo Meditation allows the person to progress to a better version of herself and mankind in general. It is a form of meditation of transformation, which opposes static, immobile and relatively inert meditation, which does nothing to consciousness and personality.  It is a form of meditation of transformation, which opposes static, immobile and relatively inert meditation, which does nothing to consciousness and personality. At the basis of this form of meditation there is the awareness of the self-limiting character of our unconscious, opposed to change. Understanding more and increasing awareness is Sri Aurobindo meditation, the way to bringing consciousness to the unconscious, and then progressing towards a better version of man and mankind. Conception therefore consists in realizing daily their essence through a process of interiorization and manifesting it in our body.

Disruption with other conception is precisely in this: it is not possible to reject or to mortify the body, to consider it as an obstacle to the spirit and thus to create an incontrable division between spirit and matter, between material life and spiritual life, body and soul. The ideal is that of an integral spiritual fulfillment, which includes all levels of consciousness, from the highest to the lowest, capable of manifesting divine light on earth, in a physical body.

Sri Aurobindo

Son of an Indian physician, is sent to England to study and distinguished for his abilities. Returning to India, he actively participates in the struggle for the liberation of his country, directing newspapers and political movements, to be considered by the British of time as the most dangerous man in India. Sri Aurobindo enters a spiritual retreat following a guru and reaches the lighting after a few days. Thanks to the help of Mirra Alfassa, known as the Mother, founded a city, Auroville.

Here, for 24 years, he remained in his room, never going out, concentrating on finding a new way to reconcile the demands of higher spirituality with the most banal of matter. Among his most important works, it is necessary to quote Divine Life, The Synthesis of Yoga, The Human Cycle. Aldous Huxley, an English writer considered father of the hippie movement, called Aurobindo as Plato of future generations.

Benefits of meditation

One of the greatest merits of Aurobindo is definitely to have joined the idea that the inside is equal to the outside and acting on the physicality of Raja yoga or Iyengar yoga can work on the interior of the subject.

Our memory, our culture, and in general our conditioning are a barrier that separates the unconscious from rationality, from the roots of our mind. The benefits of aurobindian meditation extrude into a form of harmonization between inner and outer life, which can be manifested in life, to build a better reality.

Such a conceived meditation is only a tool of the so-called integral yoga, a spiritualistic-evolutionary philosophy close to life. Unlike traditional yoga, we try to integrate the divine into everyday life and material life.
