Meditation with your Guardian Angel

Meditation in the Christian tradition is considered a means to get in touch with God. It is the indispensable basis for every path of self-awareness and knowledge of life itself. Meditation puts thought, imagination and emotions into action, which is why it is one of the most effective means to feel the presence of God. The angels strongly advise making meditation a daily practice. In fact, only by meditating every day is it possible to achieve real change.

Before you begin, you need to do two things – get all negative thoughts out of your mind and turn off any electronic devices that may be bothering you. Even though meditation is a free practice, there are some rules to follow.

Always assume a comfortable position.
Choose a comfortable and airy environment.
Wear comfortable clothes.
Light a scented candle or incense.


Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. As you breathe in, imagine that you are surrounded by beautiful white light, the light of your guardian angel. By exhaling from the mouth, let go of anxiety, stress, and worries. In so doing, you fill yourself with divine light and love.

When you feel calm and peaceful you are ready to start your meditation. With your eyes closed and your mind free, you feel that you are one with God in this state of deep relaxation. Repeat three times – Angel of God, who is my guardian, enlighten, guard, hold and govern me who I was entrusted by the Celestial Piety. Amen.

The repetition of the prayer produces feelings of well-being and deep peace, if necessary you can repeat them several times during meditation, to remove any negative thoughts. Those who are more open and sensitive can feel the presence of their guardian angel accompanied by a sweet feeling of joy, light, and loving protection.

Remain silent with your breath. Your angel may speak to you during meditation. Be open and listen not with your ears but with your heart. Angelic contact will infuse you with peace, love, happiness, and serenity. You may also feel a great commotion and you may feel like crying.

Accept every feeling and emotion knowing that you are not alone, but that your angel is there with you. You can make this meditation last for 20 to 30 minutes. You will feel within yourself when it is time to reopen your eyes and continue your day in the company of your Guardian Angel.
